One of the genetic superiority river buffalo can be seen from genes controlling milk production. well known that control production in is Signal Transducer and Activator Transcription 1 (STAT 1). This study was conducted to identify STAT gene polymorphisms buffaloes Indonesia. A total 36 head water including bulls (12) calves (24) were collected Lembang Artificial Insemination Center, North Sumatra BPTU-HPT Siborongborong, Deli Serdang District, Medan District. Hair samples each individual for obtaining DNA samples.
